Are dauber dot marker coloring pages beneficial for toddlers and preschoolers?
Dab it pages are an easy, no-prep activity. But are they developmentally appropriate and beneficial for your child’s development? Yes! Dot marker pages are easy and no-prep for you, plus they’re fun and developmentally appropriate for your child. They’re great for kids from toddler age all the way through kindergarten and beyond. Older children who are working on their fine motor skills benefit from dot marker pages, too. Your child uses their fine motor skills for important tasks like using their fork/spoon to eat, brushing their own teeth, zipping, buttoning, lacing shoes, and more.

How to print and use dot marker pages
The circles on these pages are based on the size of my daughter’s Classic Do a Dot Markers. The circles are perfectly sized for this brand of markers, but the pages also work with other dauber or bingo style markers. Make sure to store dab it markers on their sides, not upright, and pounce a few times to get ink flowing (if needed). I usually pounce them on a piece of scrap cardboard. To make the dot marker pages reusable, have your child cover the circles with pompoms, felt balls, or big buttons. For more finger strengthening and a greater challenge, have your child place the manipulative with a pair of toast tongs or silicone tongs. We like to use these wool felt balls with tongs: For an easy, no-mess activity, use these vehicle dot it printables printables with round coding label stickers. This is a the perfect activity for car trips, doctor’s appointments, and any time when you just don’t feel like having yet another shirt stained with marker. Coding label stickers are inexpensive and can save you lots of time. No more scrubbing markers off fingers, tables, and walls! Stickers are fantastic great fine motor practice - peeling them off the page is tricky for little fingers and placing them requires precision.
