Teacher Appreciation Week occurs annually during the first full week in May. There is also an annual Teacher Appreciation Day during this week, but the celebration continues all week long. Some business offer teacher discounts during this week, and it’s popular to give teachers small gifts, cards, coloring pages, or other tokens of appreciation (like this cut and paste apple craft!). A quick note for all the homeschool teachers - some businesses that offer a teacher discount program also have free membership available for homeschoolers! Michaels and Books a Million both offer a free discount membership to homeschoolers. Just show them your association membership card or whatever documents are required in your state.
