The first known Father’s Day commemoration took place in 1909, but it didn’t become an “official” holiday until 1972 - more than 50 years after Mother’s Day became an officially recognized holiday. Homemade gifts make great gifts for beloved dads who already have it all. A simple coloring sheet lovingly completed by a child with their favorite crayons can make Dad smile in a way that no store bought trinket can compete with. For a special gift that will last, make sure to print free printable coloring pages on bright white, acid free coloring paper. I prefer HP 32# paper. It has a special coating and optical brighteners that allow for vivid colors when you color on it.

SuperTips are inexpensive, washable, and come in a huge array of vibrant colors. And, of course, there’s always the classic standby: crayons.
