Materials needed for a build a zebra craft
This simple zebra craft comes with two different options - a zebra coloring page craft and a color version. Both versions of the zebra worksheet have space to practice tracing the word “zebra” and a blank line for handwriting practice. We like to use Channie’s “My First Pencils” for handwriting practice. Their chunky size makes them easier for little hands to control.

How to make your easy zebra craft: step-by-step directions
First, grab your free zebra template worksheets by using the download link lower in the post. Print as many copies as you’ll need of either the color version of the black and white. You only need one page for each child participating. If you’re using the black and white version of this simple craft, color the zebra before cutting it out. Completing the handwriting portion of the activity is also easiest before cutting out the carrot pieces. Once your students are ready, have them use blunt-tipped scissors to cut out their zebra’s pieces. To assemble the zebra, glue the muzzle to the front of the face, then glue the completed head to the front of the body. Glue the tail to the back of the zebra’s rump area. That’s it! Your simple zebra craft is finished. Completed zebras can be used as bulletin board decorations, strung up to make a garland, used as stick puppets, or placed in the window as a sun catcher.
