Materials needed to use free cut and paste worksheets

I recommend using “regular” printer paper or white cardstock for this activity. Construction paper is not a good choice for this pasting activity since it needs to run through the printer.

Your free paste activity worksheet (look for the download link lower down in the post) Printer access and a sheet of paper Scissors (we use these small scissors) Glue stick Pencils or crayons for coloring, optional Laminator and hook and loop dots or poster putty (optional)

It’s easy to make printable activities reusable when you laminate the page and use hook and loop dots (such as Velcro brand dots) or poster putty instead of glue. Prepare the activity by laminating the sheet and cutting out the letter tiles at the bottom of the page. Place hook and loop dots on each tile and over each letter or give each student poster putty or play dough to adhere the letter tiles in place.  It can be difficult to see through the hook and loop dots, even if you use clear, so I recommend poster putty for this activity. Working with the poster putty provides a workout for hand muscles and fingers! Using the page is simple. Your child or students cut out the letter tiles with dotted lines, then match them to the letters to spell “DECEMBER” and paste them in the correct order. It’s easy for you as an adult, but it can be challenging for kiddos! This December worksheet is also a coloring page, so make sure to allow time for your students to color the Christmas themed images. They’ll love the kids and snowman tangled up in Christmas lights! Laminated pages can still be used for coloring. Learn more in this post with free printable dinosaur coloring pages.
