What is a dot painting printable?
Dot marker pages pages, also called dot painting pages or do a dot pages or the popular Do a Dot marker brand, are coloring pages with blank circles for young children to fill in with bingo markers or colorful dots stickers. Dot marker painting pages are no-prep for you and developmentally appropriate for young children. Dot marker pages are an easy way to keep young learners busy, screen-free. They can be made mess-free, too, when you use round stickers instead of bingo daubers. Dot stickers are very cheap and build finger strength and hand eye coordination. At home or in the classroom, you can give your child extra hand dexterity practice by having them use plastic chips or pom poms to cover each circle on the dot worksheets.
How to use dot marker pages
These black and white worksheets are easy on your printer ink or copy budget. The blank circles on the worksheets are perfectly sized for popular dot marker brands like Do a Dot markers and Doodle Hog. We used classic Do a Dot markers for years, but my loyalties have shifted to Doodle Hog markers. They’re now our favorite dauber style markers. Doodle Hog markers are easier for little kids to grasp and they have a couple of small ridges on the cap that make it easier for little fingers to open and close the markers. The pack linked has a brown marker, which makes them perfect for these football themed dot marker pages. I still think Do a Dot is an outstanding brand, but Doodle Hogs are easier for kids to use and a better value. I filmed a quick video highlighting these dot markers to show why we’re loving them. (This post is not sponsored - I bought the Doodle Hog markers with my own money.) If you want to use stickers with these free worksheets, make sure to get ¾" round stickers. We like this brand because you get thousands (yes, thousands!) of stickers for just a few dollars and they come with a zipper pouch for storage.
