How to print your own Valentine’s Day cards
Printing your own Valentines is easy with these free printables. I typically use HP 32# paper for printables, but it is a little thin for cards. I recommend using a bright white cardstock for sturdier cards. See side by side comparisons in this post about the best paper for printables. Pay close attention to your printer to ensure you place the pages in the paper tray correctly. There should be a little symbol showing you how to place the sheets. I recommend doing a single test page if you’re not sure how to print double sided on your particular printer. Many, but not all, home printers print on the front-facing side of the sheet, which means you would place the already printed portion to the back. You also need to determine whether your printer prints from the top down or bottom up.
First ,print as many copies of the front page(s) as you want. Next, place the pages back into your printer. Print multiple copies of the correct is back page with “to” and “from” on it. This back page has dotted lines to help you cut the cards out with a paper trimmer.
Finally, cut the cards apart with a paper cutter or trimmer. I’ve used my paper trimmer with a guide wire for years - I love how easy it is to make accurate cuts with. You can also use scissors, but it takes longer and is less accurate.
Free printable Valentines cards for kids PDF
Your PDF includes the postcard style cards, smaller card exchange cards, back pages, and three sheets of fold-over cards. All pages are included in the same convenient PDF. Image compression for the web may make the preview images below pixelated or less vibrant. (The preview images appear less brightly colored to me.) The PDF is high resolution and ready for printing. Like all free printables on The Artisan Life, these cards are available for personal and classroom use. You are welcome to use them in your own personal classroom, with your Scout troop, or library party, etc. as long as you are organizing the activity.
