How to use your 2D penguin shape sorting activity for preschool
This shape matching activity is perfect for preschool and kindergarten students. It’s easy to use in classroom centers, in a busy binder, or at home.

First, grab your free printable PDF file from lower down in the post. Next, print out your page. There is a slight amount of color, but it also prints well in black and white. I recommend using a heavyweight paper, like this 32# HP paper, or white card stock. Laminate the cut out page before cutting, if you want to laminate them for a classroom center. If you laminated the page, cut out the shapes and provide poster putty to stick the shapes in place with. If you’re using the shape matching activity as a cut and paste worksheet, have your child or students cut out each shape with blunt tipped scissors. Show your child or students how to match up penguin face images with the shape outline. For use as worksheet instead of a center activity, have each child glue the shapes in place. Store your laminated pieces in a small task box to keep the activity safe for next time!
