February is the second month of the year in both the Julian calendar and Gregorian calendar systems. It falls in winter in the Northern Hemisphere, but is summer in the Southern Hemisphere. It’s the shortest month of the year with just 28 days on “normal” years and 29 days on leap years when the month gets an extra day. It’s frequently thought of as the “month of love” thanks to Valentine’s Day in the middle of the month. This post is a continuation of my ongoing series of free printable calendars. Important February events and special days
There are several notable February holidays in the United States. It’s a busy month for one with only four weeks! Both George Washington and Abraham Lincoln were born in mid-February. President’s Day was originally celebrated as George Washington’s Birthday, but shifted to a Monday holiday honoring both famous presidents in 1971.

How to print your own February calendar
These free calendar printouts are perfect for keeping track of important days, special occasions, etc. during this second month of the year. A single page calendar is a great way to see the entire month at a glance. It’s very easy to print your own monthly calendar. All you need is your PDF calendar and printer access! It makes a cute wall calendar and can also be posted on fridge, at your desk, etc. This cost-free February calendar template is designed for standard US letter-size paper. It is in landscape orientation (not portrait orientation). Both pages are saved in PDF format in the same file. Just pick which page you want to use and make sure to select only that page (1 or 2) when you print. This is easy to do in the print dialogue box of program you use to view your PDF Files (Adobe Reader, Preview, etc.)
This is a Monday start calendar so that the weekend days are easy to plan together. This monthly calendar template is in portrait orientation and has a spot for notes and to jot down a “top three” for the month. These could be top three gratitudes, top three to-dos, or something else. The choice is yours! It’s easy to print your PDF files to scale and trim them down for use in a personal planner or travel planner. I’ve already done the math for you. Just use the appropriate percentage from the chart below, print to scale (instead of fit), and cut away the excess with a paper trimmer.
